As a novice faculty member teaching pre-licensure psychiatric nursing I appreciate the competencies and skills provided by being a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) . I attended the APNA 29th Annual Conference – Collaborating in an Evolving Healthcare System: Opportunities to Advance Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. I was also selected to present a performance improvement project completed while working as a nurse administrator at Kings County Hospital.
